Johannes Rittershausen serves as Convergent's Chief Executive Officer and member of the board. Prior to co-founding Convergent with Chief Operating and Financial Officer Frank Genova in 2011, Johannes worked as a senior project manager in corporate strategic planning and the electric vehicle readiness unit at Southern California Edison (“SCE”) from January 2007 to November 2011. Johannes began his career in the utility industry in 2007 as an analyst in SCE’s power procurement business unit, performing functions in commodity trading, long-term resource planning, and ISO market settlements. Johannes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, with a focus in Economics, from Pomona College and a Master of Arts from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Services.
Frank Genova serves as Convergent's Chief Operating and Financial Officer and member of the board. Prior to co-founding Convergent with Chief Executive Officer Johannes Rittershausen in 2011, Frank worked in project development and finance with Fisher Brothers and Plaza Construction, focusing on renewable development, renewable integration, complex mechanical and electrical system integration, and corporate strategy. He also co-founded RG Capital Partners in 2011, where he served as Managing Director until July 2015. Frank holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance, Phi Kappa Phi, from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business. Since April 2016, he serves a Member of Advisory Board of Villanova University’s College of Engineering.
Christopher Streeter serves as Convergent's Chief Information and Risk Officer. Prior to joining Convergent in 2011, Chris worked as a strategy consultant, both as an independent contractor and as a member of the firm AltshulerGray, LLC, from December 2004 to July 2012, where he focused on complex data analysis, developing and implementing evaluation frameworks to meet profit maximization and compliance targets. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard University where he graduated with honors.
Mariko McDonagh Meier serves as Convergent's as Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to joining Convergent August, 2021, Mariko served as Chief Operating Officer for Mirah, a mental health software company. She previously held several senior management positions across marketing, regulatory affairs and operations at Enel X (formerly EnerNOC) from June 2013 to August 2020. From 2009 to 2011, she was a Project Manager at SCE’s Strategic Projects group. She began her career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey and Company, focusing on Cleantech clients. Mariko holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She lives in Boston, MA with her husband, two daughters, and three-legged cat.
Ren Gaffney (they/them & she/her) serves as Convergent’s General Counsel and Secretary. Ren has advised on over $2.8 billion of closed transactions across four continents and brings over 12 years of experience in energy storage, power, infrastructure, finance, M&A, regulatory compliance, and economic development. Before joining Convergent, Ren served as Deputy GC and Head of Power & Infrastructure Advisory for West Africa at the CrossBoundary Group, as Assistant GC for TerraForm Power, and as an associate at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in the Energy & Infrastructure practice. Ren endeavors to be a responsible steward of our planet and ally to the people who live on it. They served, as a founding member, on the Steering Committee of Transgender Legal Advocates of Washington DC, acted as pro bono counsel for asylum seekers, and lived and worked in 8 countries for impact investment facilitators, renewable energy firms, nonprofits, the U.S. Department of State, UNHCR, and the World Bank Group. Ren holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, a Masters of International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Philosophy from Wellesley College.
Kevin Borden serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Product. Prior to joining Convergent, Kevin was the Head of Marketing for Enel X’s energy services in North America, which includes distributed energy resources and demand response. He also led customer-centric product innovation efforts at Emerson and Yingli Solar and has launched several new products and services. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management.
Adam Green serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations and has been with Convergent since 2018. He leads the team responsible for structuring, negotiation, and execution of long-term offtake agreements with utility and C&I customers. Adam has over ten years of experience with energy storage and solar, having developed hundreds of megawatts in three continents, most recently as Director of Development at SolarReserve. He has also written technical papers on solar and thermal storage and holds two patents. Adam graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Brown University with a concentration of his own design entitled “Rationality and Decision Making,” and holds Master’s in Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Katie Guerry serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Regulatory and Government Affairs. Katie’s 19-year energy market career includes diverse commercial, legal, risk, and regulatory experience in North America supported portfolios of diverse commodities and technology types including wind, solar, DR, DER, energy storage, EV charging, natural gas, and oil. Prior to Convergent, she was the Head of Regulatory Affairs in North America for Italian-based Enel X; with similar regulatory leadership positions at demand response provider EnerNOC before its acquisition by Enel X in 2018. Her first 10 years in energy were at Hess Corporation supporting their competitive energy supplier business. Katie has twice served as Chair and Vice-Chair of PJM Member’s and Liaison Committees and provided expert testimony for Federal and State agencies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from the College of William and Mary and a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School.
Becky Koze serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Development, and has led Convergent’s early-stage development activities since December of 2019. Prior to joining Convergent, Becky worked for Tesla and LightsourceBP developing distribution, utility-scale, and behind-the-meter solar projects. Before focusing her career on renewable energy, Becky worked in consulting engineering as a civil engineer and project manager. Becky holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rutgers School of Engineering. She is also a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control.
Derek Longo serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Project Execution and Operations. Derek has been building projects since he started his professional career in 2008 with FLSmidth Inc.’s Cement and Minerals Projects divisions, where he served first as a Field Engineer and later as a Project Manager. For the last 5 years, Derek has overseen all phases of project execution and asset operation including utility interface, technical coordination, supplier oversight and expediting, project budgeting, installation, commissioning of project equipment, and planned and unplanned maintenance. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
Raj Serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Finance and Capital Markets with over a decade of experience in renewable energy finance. Prior to joining Convergent, Raj led a team at Citigroup in managing a multibillion-dollar tax equity portfolio comprised of utility-scale, distributed generation, and residential solar projects in addition to structuring, closing, and funding tax equity transactions. Prior, Raj structured over 2GW of wind projects at GE Energy Financial Services. Before entering renewable energy, Raj was a corporate derivatives banker, structuring interest rate and FX solutions at Merrill Lynch (now BofA) covering the energy and power sector. Raj holds a Bachelor in Technical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Cornell University.
David serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Analytics, and has played a central role in identifying opportunities for and driving the performance of the company’s energy storage and solar-plus-storage portfolio since 2015. Prior to joining Convergent, David worked at EnerNOC on the demand response team managing its portfolio in the PJM region. He has experience in day-to-day operations and long-term strategy execution in capacity and energy markets. David holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth in Mathematics and Economics.
Wendy serves as Convergent’s Head of People Operations. Prior to joining Convergent in June, 2022, Wendy served as the Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Seplat Energy. She has held several senior leadership positions in human capital management and business improvement across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. She has worked primarily in the oil and gas sector managing a diverse range of people and resources. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art, Design, and Media from the University of Portsmouth, a Master of Science in Building Surveying from London South Bank University, and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.
Derek Oosterman serves as Senior Vice President, Portfolio Strategy and Compliance. Prior to assuming this role at the start of 2022, Derek held various leadership positions in the firm, including most recently as head of Regulatory and Government Affairs. Before joining Convergent in 2016, Derek gained fifteen years of experience in the real estate industry, including extensive work in the acquisition, management, and disposition of commercial real estate debt and assets, with a focus on distress. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from Pomona College and a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis on finance and real estate from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Sumeet serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller. Sumeet joined Convergent in 2018 with over 20 years of experience across a broad range of accounting and finance roles including financial management reporting, ERP implementation, compliance, audit performance, and taxation. Prior to joining Convergent, Sumeet served as Assistant Controller at SUEZ where he was instrumental in overall internal control management, optimization of information systems, and financial reporting and held several senior management positions at National Grid. Sumeet holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from NJCU. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Kate Siskel serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, and has led marketing at Convergent since March 2018. Prior to joining Convergent, Kate drove marketing and media strategies, along with influencer engagement, at the national nonprofit the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. She previously owned all marketing and communications efforts at startup BrightFarms, where she led a team to rebrand the company and secured strategic media placements including Forbes, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. In 2009, Kate entered the media sector as a production assistant at CBS News’ The Early Show (now CBS This Morning). Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and a Master of Arts from New York University.
Jim serves as Convergent’s Utility Project Executive and has worked with the company since 2012. Jim has nearly 50 years of expertise in engineering and operations in gas and electric systems, particularly within the utility sector. At the end of 2011, Jim retired from Orange and Rockland Utilities (a Consolidated Edison company) as Vice President, Operations. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Tremor Temchin serves as Convergent’s Senior Vice President, Business Development, and Head of Canada. Since joining Convergent in 2014, Tremor has been instrumental in developing, operating, and maintaining many of Convergent’s energy storage solutions, and he represents Convergent on Energy Storage Canada’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Convergent, Tremor served as the Founder and Executive Director of the Rotary Pacific Water for Life Foundation. Tremor graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts from Pomona College and holds a Master of Arts from the University of the South Pacific’s Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development.
Toby Tiktinsky serves as Senior Vice President, Business Development, leads Convergent’s business-to-business sales teams since 2016. Since joining Convergent, Toby has executed some of the largest behind-the-meter energy storage assets in North America while growing the sales team to serve coops, munis, and manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada. Prior to joining Convergent, Toby spent a decade leading business development efforts for early-stage companies innovating services across solar, agriculture, and carbon. Before he entered sales, Toby spent five years at the United States Environmental Protection Agency covering communications and policy related to biopesticides, ag biotechnology, and air quality. Toby holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Science from the London School of Economics, and is completing an Executive Master’s in Business Administration from HEC Paris.
Lawrence Tsang serves as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and launched the company’s solar-plus-storage vertical in 2015. Prior to joining Convergent, Lawrence was the Director of Global Strategy and Project Finance at OCI Solar Power, developing, financing, and selling 450 MW of solar in Texas and over 1 GW of development pipeline in Mexico, China, India, and across Africa. Lawrence started his career as a management and strategy consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton with a focus on energy. Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Concordia University (Canada) and a Master of Arts in Environmental Management from Harvard University.
Sebastián serves as Convergent’s Deputy General Counsel. Sebastián is committed to advancing the clean energy transition and brings over a decade of experience as a transactional lawyer in which he advised on projects and transactions in 15 jurisdictions throughout the Americas. Prior to joining Convergent, Sebastián served as Senior Associate in the Energy Transactions and Projects group at Vinson & Elkins LLP, as Senior Associate in the Projects group at Herbert Smith Freehills, as Counsel at New Fortress Energy, and as an Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Sebastián holds a Juris Doctorate equivalent degree from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, a Masters of Laws from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, and a Certificate in Business Administration from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.
